I'm Katy. I am a wife, mother & lifestyle photographer working in Sonoma and Marin Counties. Lover of sunflowers, horses, the air when the seasons change & end of day light. My work reflects how I see the world. Vibrant, alive, glowing with color and always guided by light. It's everything.
I was born and raised in West Marin in what can only be described as a painting. Growing up with deep roots in San Geronimo Valley surrounded by nature's beauty, molded my eyes to always enjoy a simple, natural setting. Early on, I developed a love for capturing life's wonderful moments. I have always felt a need to photograph these and often feel attached to the photos while viewing them at a later date. I have always had a camera in my hand, ready to freeze time, so I can revisit these special moments and connect with that feeling again and again. Over the years I've enjoyed creating beautiful images for my friends and family.

Choosing the right photographer is about more than just skill—it’s about finding someone who truly cares about your style, not just their own. You want someone who goes the extra mile to make you feel comfortable, who understands that being in front of the camera can feel awkward, and who knows how to bring out your natural joy (even if that means making you laugh until you forget the lens is even there). Flexibility and understanding are key, because real moments don’t always fit into a perfect plan. Most importantly, find a photographer who has a slight obsession (me : )) with capturing all the moments—the big ones, the small ones, and everything in between—because life is too good and too short not to indulge in way too many pictures of you and your loved ones!
